All they need to do is get Combetta on record saying that Hillary or, more likely, Cheryl Mills asked him to alter emails that were under congressional subpoena. Then he can admit that they asked him to BleachBit them, it wasn't some "Oh shit!" moment, he'd been ordered at least twice to alter or destroy evidence. And then they can announce that there is indeed intent to break any number of federal laws, reopen the investigation, and announce that Hillary is still under investigation by the FBI for violating a number of laws that have resulted in real jail time many times in the past. Comey won't really have a choice. DoJ won't do shit though, but that's OK. Just makes them look even worse.

That's pretty much exactly what Chaffetz and Gowdy are going for here.

That's what people have been saying for ever. But this little debacle undoes Comey's entire "No intent" safety valve. He'll have to reopen the investigation. At the very least he's going to be forced to revoke the immunity deal. The FBI can do this without involving the DoJ at all. Already there is a near-open mutiny within the FBI.

Sadly, Contempt of Congress doesn't equate to all that much. Nothing expedient happens over this, if anything; and even when something does happen... may be a year or two down the road yet.

That doesn't equate to giving up on this quest... but it's not going to be the October Surprise (unless this dude comes forth and spills his guts):

A. he doesn't have to

B. he's been well paid off to keep mouf shut

C. he may still want to live.

A few new things we learned today.

1. Cheryl Mills and two other Hillary adjuncts were given immunity in the email investigations. Immunity apparently meaning "You're good, see ya!" to the FBI now.

2. Ted Cruz has endorsed Trump. Took him long enough, but good for him.

3. Hillary has to stand for 90 minutes straight. No cough breaks. I am watching so much Monday night!
