Undocumented guy hits my mom head-on

WTF? My mom and my very pregnant SIL got hit head on by Mexican this morning. No insurance (what a surprise). Nobody hurt seriously - but they will induce labor tomorrow to make sure the baby is OK. SIL is pretty bruised up by steering wheel.

Car is totaled. Mom not really being very specific about her injuries. Need to pressure her for the real story.

I hope they deport this idiot. If that baby is injured, somebody better get some protection for that guy.

It happens WAY too often. Unfortunately, this recurring story is far too often overlooked when illegals are brought up.

OK, but when you (uninsured driver) can cause thousands of dollars of property damage/ lost wages/ pain suffering/ death
And the only ramification for not being able to cover these damages done is a ticket? (yes I realize there are other laws in effect, but maybe if people started going to jail for a couple of weeks for not having insurance, it might stop a few)

My SIL got t-boned by a van full of Mexican illegal’s here in KC area.

They were doing over 60 mph in a 35 mph zone.

She had JUST dropped off their baby at the sitters and she was going to work.

When they hit, all 6 of them ran from the van and had no concern about my SIL who was knocked unconscious and bleeding from the forehead. (Surprised they didn’t try to steal her purse).

Witnesses caught 4 of the 6 and the police found 1 nearby with injuries, but they never determined which one was driving. ALL caught were over the DUI limit.

She never recovered completely from her head and neck injuries and has been on disability since. (1989).

I was thinking along the lines of a "death line" like they had at Andersonville. Once they cross it, all bets are off. I have no problem with someone wanting to immigrate to America legally, but if you attempt to cross illegally then some hot lead should be waiting on your ass. The fact is, the messican that hit Pete's family will probably get off scott free. It infuriates me.

I agree, in earlier post I was pointing out about insurance regs from state to state....back when....

but on this illegal thing, I know damn well I could shut down that border tight as whale puzzy, within 6 months.....no tunnels, no need for fence and some rapid enough response units leveling down upon target acquisition....
