This is horrible news. He was such a genuinely good person that could always make anyone laugh.

Several years ago I went from posting regularly at CF to hardly posting for several months as I was inundated with work. I received a call during the day: "Baldy?" I was so confused. Then he follows-up with "this is Jim or as you've named me, Blacky"
I dropped what I was doing and we talked on the phone for quite some time. Throughout the years we would go back & forth via PM's & emails....he really didn't receive text messages which I eventually learned was true.

Very sad to hear about his passing but also feel fortunate to have gotten to know him.
I regret not meeting up with him when I stayed in New Orleans. We talked about getting together but my g/f at the time threw a huge fit & threatened to cancel our several week road trip if I was going to meet up with some guy I met on the internet.

I hope Jim's family is doing well as this must be extremely difficult for them. His Father lost his wife several years ago & now his son.

No doubt the best looking and smartest guy on this forum. *

We have chatted over the years via phone too many times to count. * His “black” Cajun accent was perfection as was his amazing personality. *His main loves were *his family, hunting, his dog, music, seafood/Fish Fridays with his Dad and his grandson. *He also knew his girlfriend and sister had a close watch over him being that they were nurses. * *. He was more concerned about how this was going to affect his son and Dad than his own situation.

We spoke on a weekly basis the last few months. *His “dumb” phone was always turned off so you had to wait for him to call you. *I can still hear his “How you doin girl?!” That accent alone made me laugh no matter what he was saying. *

Despite his recent health struggles, he always had a bright spirit and never failed to make great conversation that resulted in both of us cutting up laughing. *He knew his time was ending, but had a peace with it because he was a man of faith. *

Being a man of God, *we know he is in a place far better than we are. *He will be sorely missed, although I might not miss some of his 1st photo shop creations of me. *

RIP buddy. *You will be so VERY missed!!!

For that dash represents all the time

This really hit me hard this past week. We have been talking for many years by phone and by pm’s. I was waiting on a reply to my last one sent to him, and got the news he was gone I will miss many things about this man. We had some deep conversations along the way. He helped me through a difficult time in my life. To say I will miss him is an understatement. His laugh, his humor, his chops, his wisdom. Just some of the things, but at heart just a good guy. I try to be the same every day. RIP my friend. You will not be forgotten.
