What if they were stealing one of your guns? Would that be grounds to shoot them because letting them do it means they would become armed?

What if they were stealing your car that has a gun in it? Would you shoot them then?

If someone is prowling around our home, vehicles or whatever, I have ZERO desire to wait until I discern whether they posess a potential deadly weapon. The moment the perp breaks/damages or opens a door/window said perp will be toast...this comes a bit after the dogs have a good time however.

I don't live in California.

These vehicles are not being stolen for parts.

They get put on shipping containers and shipped overseas. The vast majority of vehicles being stolen here in the Toronto area are trucks and SUVs.

Stealing a car vs stealing a car that has a gun in it is not really a different situation. Your sensational emotional non-answer seems like you can't stand by your first answer.

The main reason home invasions are increasing is because they are breaking in to get the key fobs to steal the vehicles.

If you do not already own a handgun, you cannot even buy one.

Many long guns are also banned.

It is not legal to use a gun for protection.
