I have had several Kimbers. Almost every one would have at least one feed issue per mag when using self-defense style rounds. Tried several different brands of mags. Ball ammo was fine. A friend who is a gunsmith told me he could polish the ramp and tweak the mags to correct the issue. I told him a $1500 pistol shouldn't need work to function properly.
All I have are Ruger 1911's now. They go bang every time.

If you guys get tired of the 1911, go for this SA 911(380). I got this a couple years ago. Shoots well.

I have the CCP 380. My son has the PPK
