Still dead, but moved him out so I can use garage for storage of all my office crap until the floor is installed Wednesday.

The only things they will do differently this time around is to do a sleeved block (they start with a 5.3 and bore it) and then the steel sleeves "may" help keep the block from blowing should I drop another valve. UMMMM, dum? here.....my 355 is an old truck roller block....so obviously iron....

I just ASSumed the newer LS series engines had steel liner in the cyl bores....

and from the wording of the above, you sound as if it was aluminum? the rings/pistons worked against....naked aluminum?? I have never even seen one in person, all taken apart that is......
