After last mothers day rather then throw these out I planted them at the base of the sand dune....figured I'd give them a chance to live and was surprised when they came up a few weeks ago ! Didn't know they would do this good in sand

More Big Bend...
Boquillas Canyon Trail

Interesting location as the Rio Grande is very shallow along this trail. There were maybe a dozen Mexicans selling trash and trinkets on the US side of the river and a couple groups offering horse back rides. Zero US .Gov presence, although all roads leading out of the park had Border Patrol stops. Our SUV wasn't searched but they did ask us to roll the tinted rear windows down.



Pro tip: ALWAYS take your sun glasses off when you are being questioned by US Customs or Border Patrol and NEVER be talking on your cell phone. Learned this while doing IT work at numerous Customs locations around the country.

Ok, this is a waterspout 2.5 blocks to the west of us over Barnaget Bay NJ....taken with a Samsung A50 cell phone 5/8/21....then on Mothers Day we went to walk some trails at Cattus Island County Park.....taken with same cell phone and made B&W in Snapseed. Then we had another person take these of us...Myself,wife,son-in-law,daughter and grandson.....god forbid our son left NYC to see his mother.....he'll be sorry when we die and the will is read .
