Default So what did you do on the 4th?

Sounds like Shrek went camping like me and Vet4jdc, I know FASTZR-1 did the Florida Mickey Mouse thing.

We camped up at Misty Mountain in Crozet, VA. Hiking the first day, Mountains are tough on these old flatlander legs

Second day did a wine tour and Jefferson's Monticello Estate pretty impressive

Wrapped up the weekend at King Family Winery and Ranch watching polo and drinking wine.

On the fourth, Went horseback riding with the wife, relaxed, got the car ready for my trip, relaxed, and then had a few drinks and relaxed.....

Today, Farrier was here in the AM, went to Berkley Plantation and had dinner at Pierces BBQ.

Last week we were at Disney.
Friday, July 2nd:

Saturday, July 3rd: Drove home from Orlando and then mowed the yard.

Sunday, July 4th: Took the boat and went to the beach for a few hours. Then headed to a restaurant with the boat for dinner. Then back in the boat to go watch fireworks. The show was awesome on the water.

Monday, July 5th: Back out on the water Monday afternoon. Matthew caught several small fish.

All in all, it was a great last two weeks of vacation that started with the quick road trip to NY with good friends. I don't want to go back to work now.

Working and sleeping. So far today I have put in 15 hours and still have about 4 or 5 hours before I get to go home to take a nap.

My dumb ass had the digital camera with me, but didn't snap a single shot. Those were all crappy cell phone shots.

This guy was right across the isle from us and kept Calli on her toes all weekend. He's Husky/Wolf mix named Diesel. COOL dog!

Classic car show at Cheeseburger in Paradise. We had over 100 cars, which is a pretty good turnout for the middle of a 3-day weekend.

ah the 4th it's the first day I had off in 3 weeks. I was to tired to any thing but I did manage to do a few things around the house. edge the driveway, hosed down the 94 vette, cooked out on the grill. Relaxed a little between. I did get out on the boat yesterday (long overdue).

I wouldn't exactly call that bream small. that's a nice one! I grilled steaks at home & hung Old Glory for all to see.

Thanks. That was the first one he caught and the other three were a little smaller but he doesn't care as long as there is something on the hook.

For the 4th I made a quick appearance at a family cookout, then went and sang at the ocean front with Symphonicity (the Virginia Beach Symphony), and the Virginia Beach Chorale for the City's Fourth of July Celebration.

The opening of the fireworks were "choreographed" to our last two numbers, the "1812 Overture", then "Stars & Stripes Forever"
