Working in several restaurants of various types years ago I got spoiled either making my own quality food or knowing chefs who would make it exactly the way I wanted it.
I never found it that difficult to provide a quality product and when I'm served what some pass off as food sets me off.
Best place I ever ate was steak house in Washington, it was middle of the week(worked a shitload of hours and was leaving for home next day) and place had a reputation for excellent food. Steak was huge along with everything else served. I about exploded when the desert came on a platter. Made the wait staff eat some of it since they had 3 customers including me anyway.
Guess it was sale night as 40 bucks was total with leaving a decent tip.
We don't have that quality here at anything resembling a decent price....
