I say leave them in OT. We can already choose to skip the thread or read it. Something of interest may pop-up for the majority on the subject. If it is posted over in another section. Only a few would probably ever see/read it.

PR&C could use some more traffic. Why not just make it PRC&Guns? Currently, guns are a somewhat political topic. Most of the gun threads I've seen, are about the politics of gun laws rather than technical gun threads.

I'm a "gun nut" but that doesn't mean I click on every gun thread.

For example, if I see title referencing something that doesn't interest me, I just skip over it.

Seems to me, if someone here has no interest in guns whatsoever, then do the same, skip over it.

I vote no for having a separate gun section...

And your point is? If there are "MANY" people who don't mind or actually like gun threads, that subforum won't see far less traffic will it? As a matter of fact, it'll be plenty busy.

Many people don't use the Politics, Religion & Controversy section as it is, when their topic falls cleanly into that space. There's no reason to believe they would suddenly start using a Gun section. This would also put an additional burden on the the Mod's to police the new forum AND the existing forums.

I vote for leaving it as is. When the gun thread's overrun the place, I take a sabbatical. Not because I'm against guns, I just don't have anything to contribute.
