So, in a nutshell, Seattle is going to discriminate against any business headquartered in Indiana because Indiana legislatures passed a law.

Something like 30 other states have this or quite similar laws. Clinton signed a similar federal law when he was in office, but he's a leftist rock star. But you see, Indiana is now a red state instead of a swing state, and this is just the Democrats who pose as Journalists attempt at deflecting from the deal with Iran, the wiped email server, etc etc etc.

Obama was the sponsor of the bill in Illinois, he never signed anything - he just generally voted present.

No, it's using sanctions to try and effect change in another jurisdiction. Take the Cuban embargo. What was the point of telling Americans they could no longer buy goods or travel to Cuba? America was hoping to hurt Cuba economically, in order to effect political change there.


What we are seeing here is the exact same concept, although I doubt it will actually achieve any results, just as the Cuban embargo didn't achieve the desired results.

Whose freedom? Say I run a grocery store and I don't want to do business with Muslims (I was just at the grocery store, saw ugly chick in the black robe getup). The US has deemed that the rights of the customer or employee supersede the rights of the business owner. I don't agree with that, but that's the way it is.

Once again, righties assert the "but, Mom, Frankie started it" defense. The Indiana law is different from other religious freedom acts in at least two important ways:

1. Indiana law allows for religious practice to be used as a defense in a dispute between individuals rather than as a argument against a burdening government regulation

2. The religious practice claim need not be shown to be a core or central practice or belief of ones religion.

I see people here haven't read the Bill either. The law does not discriminate against gays. It protects religious rights.


It shouldn't be necessary since we have the Constitution but the courts decided to ignore the Constitution and go against Christians.
