if you work at an airport in Alaska in the summer, you have to be careful fueling planes. Last year, several dozen mosquitos landed and got fueled and took off without paying. any unpaid fueling comes out of the fueler's paycheck. I swear boss, it looked just like a 737 Max.

Lee County Mosquito Control is the highest funded mosquito abatement program in the country, and in the world. Their budget is now up to $35 million/year and they do a great job in my opinion. Florida is a cesspool for mosquitoes. I may also be biased as they let us use their runway for our autocross club.

Won't even slow them down. If you have few where you are it has more to do with the amount of standing water for them to lay eggs in than how cold it gets. Only takes a few days above 32 degrees for them to thaw out and become a nuisance again if there are adequate puddles around.
