Default fairy rings
I have fairy rings in my lawn.


My wife directed my attention to a phenomenon in our back yard yesterday. Circular rings approximately four to five feet in diameter. They are very noticeable when viewed from our upper floor windows. They are a darker green than the surrounding lawn. So, I did an internet search on "lawn circles" and found that they are called "fairy rings", most likely caused by some fungus or something.

You lawn with the fungus still looks better than mine.

I have battled chinch bugs, weeds, clover, etc... the past 12+ months.
Wife wants to resod, but I am that cheap bastage, so I will exhaust all things in the HD Garden Center.
Right now it looks better, not great, I put the mower down a notch to help.

I started seeing those last year at the back of the property and always wondered what they were. At first it was an arch or two that looked like where the side by side or tractor had turned too sharp but then a few more elaborate ones appeared and then I had no idea what they were. None of mine are actual rings. Just flowing stripes.
