Default Played 9 holes with only a putter...

Same exact course as last Saturday. Shot 54 with regular clubs then and shot 51 today. 100% of the shots, from tee to green with a putter. And I took 3 or 4 mulligans last week...zero this week. Made 4 or 5 greens in regulation.

We would have played 18 holes, but it took us 3 hours to finish 9. Too crowded.

I did a 3-club tournament this year. I chose 4-hybrid, 6-iron, 54 degree wedge. I putted with the hybrid all day and once I had the technique down (have to press the shaft forward so the club face is 90 degrees to the green) I putted amazingly well with it. Also used it for a lot of green-side chipping and sunk a couple. Shot pretty much my usual score of mid-80's. But you must be playing a par-3 or short executive course because there's no way you could putt from a tee box to even the start of the fairways where I play, and those water holes and holes with ditches in the middle of the fairway with no way around it except for a bridge might be a bit challenging with only a putter.

Is the putter like a 1 iron? I would not think it could hold up the the stress of teeing off with it.

Flat face and flush bottom, with good weighting. It's perfect for what I was doing, and much like a 1 iron, but with shorter grip obviously. Yes, I was prepared for it to fall apart.

No sir, full-length, par 72 course. Boulder City Golf Course, Boulder City, NV. I made both par 5 green's in 3 strokes with that putter.

Hmmm, desert course then. Our rough would eat any ball rolling over it in about 5 feet or less. I've seen John Daly hit a putter like a driver and he did hit it quite a ways but that poor putter was bent to shit after one hard hit. They aren't exactly built to take that punishment but hey, whatever.

Yes. Desert Course. My 3 89's have come out here in the west. I prefer the dry conditions. Putter was $10 at Walmart. The best part about teeing off with a putter is the ball always goes down the center of the fairway. Extremely predictable.

We used to have a golf pro at the country club where I lived who would bet people that if they went to the lost and found golf clubs in the pro shop and got him a five iron, a wedge and a putter he would par the course. Seen him do it several times.
