Mexico has requested the UNHCR to come in and set up camps and have them determine whose a refugee or not.

Plus Mexico now agrees that anyone passing through their country who get's caught on the American border can be sent back to Mexico, not thier home country.

Looks like the invasion force was repelled, and by the Mexicans, strangely enough. I guess that offer to actually treat them as UN refugees on the southern Mexico border didn't appeal to them.

Maybe they aren't quite as in fear for their lives as they purport to be.

Now they're reporting that about 8,000 have torn down the gate between Guatemala and Mexico and have crossed into Mexico.

Here's my prediction. Neither Mexico nor any other non US country will be willing or able to contain them.

They will make it to the US border and try to storm our border.

Trump will be given the choice of the use of overwhelming military force to contain them, which no matter what form that entails, will result in the worst possible optics right at the midterm elections... that, or letting them in.

Either way, Trump loses, Dems win.

We need to start with non-lethal crowd control, LRAD sound cannons, tear gas, and rubber bullets, but if they continue, we need to use live rounds. It's 8,000 people this time, trying to force their way in. What happens when it's 80,000? 800,000?

CIUDAD HIDALGO, Mexico (AP) — A growing throng of Central American migrants resumed their advance toward the U.S. border in southern Mexico on Sunday, overwhelming Mexican government attempts to stop them at the border.

Their numbers swelled to about 5,000 overnight and at first light they set out walking toward the Mexican town of Tapachula, 10 abreast in a line stretching approximately a mile (1.5 kilometers).

Several hundred more already had applied for refugee status in Mexico and an estimated 1,500 were still on the Guatemalan side of the Suchiate River, hoping to enter legally.

It was not immediately clear where the additional travelers had materialized from since about 2,000 had been gathered on the Mexican side Saturday night. They seemed likely to be people who had been waiting in the Guatemalan town of Tecun Uman and who decided to cross during the night.

They marched on through Mexico like a ragtag army of the poor, shouting triumphantly slogans like "Si se pudo!" or "Yes, we could!"

As they passed through Mexican villages on the outskirts of Ciudad Hidalgo, they drew applause, cheers and donations of food and clothing from Mexicans.

Maria Teresa Orellana, a resident of the neighborhood of Lorenzo handed out free sandals to the migrants as they passed. "It's solidarity," she said. "They're our brothers."

Not so sure about that. Start reading comments on some of these news stories. These are Left Wing 'News' outlets with stories (as far as I can tell) not linked to places like Drudge etc. I think this is backfiring on the left, and people are waking up.
