Question.

If someone keeps smashing your mailbox about once a month at a 1.7 mil house over the last year, and a cop tells you to invest in a 200.00 game camera or some other way to catch these guys because the four cops for 60,000 people cant be everywhere and the cop says he will install it and even check the memory card for you and also gives you numerous other options. Would you take that recommendation and run with it or stand next to your Porsche and say we don't have the money to do that. I demand that you do your job by parking at the end of my street and sitting there because I pay your salary?

Screw the law, a cubic yard of concrete on side of road, a ~8" I beam from bottom to top about 4' high, surround with brick and concrete filled solid, cover box so it looks pretty.....

For about $400 you can buy a mailbox made from 1/4" stainless steel plate. Attach it to a brick or concrete post, and let the vandals swing away.

Sell the Porsche, use the money to hire a 5 man sniper team for a month or so to watch the mailbox around the clock. The next time someone smashes said mailbox, authorize the sniper team to resolve the issue, with extreme prejudice.

Then, drop a "throw down" sniper rifle in the dead hooligan's hand, get his fingerprints on the gun, then call the police and report an apparant suicide.

I did this after the first time I also made the box look cheap on the outside. I found the bat they used the next time split in pieces on the ground with a slight dent in the box i'm sure the little bastard broke his arm on that drive by

Did you really have to start off bragging about the cost of your house? Just so you know, those same assholes wreck the mailboxes of us "common folk" but it takes a higher percentage of our paycheck to replace it.

Get a game camera. They also make protective boxes for them too. You may want to invest in one that does NOT flash when taking a picture at night since after they get caught, they know exactly where the evidence was obtained.

Have you pissed off anybody lately? Are you the only one with a smashed mailbox or are fellow neighbors getting vandalized too?
