WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney are tied at 47 percent support each among likely voters with just over two weeks to go before the U.S. presidential election, a NBC/Wall Street Journal poll released on Sunday said.

The nationwide poll, which was conducted after last Monday's presidential debate, reinforced the perception of the race as a cliffhanger.

It showed "a little bit of a lead" for Romney among the critical "battleground" states as a group, NBC correspondent Chuck Todd said on the network's "Meet the Press" program.

"Sitting at 47 is a good number for a challenger, but not a good number for an incumbent" close to the November 6 election, NBC's Todd said on Meet the Press. He said Obama's lead among women - 51 percent to 43 percent - was his smallest all year long.

MASSIVE VOTER FRAUD

Will ASSure a Nobam victory.....they will print ballots forever until it happens....

OR use the Soros controlled voting machines to tab the totals their way.....

IMO, this going to be the crookedest election EVER, and round town here I have seen just 3 Nobam signs,

one of them in the front yard of a union welder who is black...so that figgers he buying into the bullshit.....but the BS is SO wide that other white union welders are not sure how to vote.....so little to they know....they about buying the BS fed to them, I was shocked to hear that.....

one of them is ex Navy, they both are 45-55 years old, and to be in that position, homeowners, married, kids, elder care, and to be even THINKING of voting for Nobam.....

The WSJ is staunchly conservative, but NBC is not. I do put some trust in this poll because of the WSJ's role. Perhaps without the WSJ in the poll, it would've been more "Obama still 8 points ahead".
