Are you guys really so concerned about weather or not the president used the word terror in describing the attack? Seriously, who gives a fuk what anyone calls it, our guys were killed. I'm guessing every time our guys get killed in Afghanistan you could argue its a terrorist attack. For the record he referred to it as a terrorist attack twice in the first two days after the attack.

Are you implying that somehow Obama did not do his job here? That with the thousands of diplomats overseas, that he personally coordinates their every move and assigns security personnel? Of course he doesn't, so that thought is out the window.

Besides, from what I'm reading, it was congress - republicans specifically - that voted to cut half a billion from the State Department's security budget. I would think they would want to shut up about that.

So what is it? That there is some kind of "cover up"? That because he did not use the word "terror" enough in the first two weeks after that attack that there is some kind of conspiracy here? We all knew they died within minutes of the attack. What the hell do you think Obama is supposedly covering up?

It is because the UN Ambassador thought it was linked to the protest over the anti Islam video that were going on around the rest of the Arab world on the same day? As far as I can tell, Obama never said that, she did. And she was going off the information our intelligence community gave her. So are you blaming Obama because the CIA gave inaccurate information out?

I don't understand where you think your side is going to get any points out of this. The only people responsible for killing our guys are the assholes that pulled the triggers. To now sit across the isle and try to make hay about this - when it was your side that pulled funding for security - looks like a shaky proposition at best.

If that was the case and there was a terrorist attack against Americans, do you think that the best thing to do would be hop on his jet and head off to fundraisers??

The 1 positive point of his entire campaign is that Al Quaeda is "on it's heels". You wonder why he might want to do everything he could to minimize the fact that there was a terrorist attack that left Americans dead?

How is it that when something good happens, like Bin Laden being killed, he acts like he pulled the trigger himself but when it is something bad, he does everything he can to blame everybody else? It is pathetic.

It wasn't a terrorist attack. We are at war. Just because our people weren't in the war zone, that doesn't mean they aren't casualties of war. Same with the Ft. Hood shooting. That wasn't terrorism either. It was war, a case of a soldier changing sides. As long as we are at war, then any govt. representatives are fair game for those we are warring against.

That's just it Val, I looked high and low and can't find a single specific instance where he said the violence was only related to a video. So where did he lie???

I did however, find MULTIPLE sites that said our intelligence community thought that's what happened.

The intent of what Romney was trying to get across last night was to show that this president has no concern for anyone but himself. He stated that the day after the attack that killed 4 Americans the president was on his plane headed for a fund raiser.
His speech in the Rose Garden did not say that the 4 were killed in a planned terrorist attack. Here is a paragraph from that statement:
"Since our founding, the United States has been a nation that respects all faiths. We reject all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others. But there is absolutely no justification to this type of senseless violence. None. The world must stand together to unequivocally reject these brutal acts."
That is pretty clear that he was looking at this attack as a part of the demonstrations going on through the Arab world over the YouTube video.
His mention of terror in the tenth paragraph and then he did not say that the attack was a planned terrorist attack.
Candy Crowley overstepped her role in defending Obama. He was wrong and he knows it. I am sure next Monday's debate this will come up again and lets see how he tries to explain it.

I can accept that she anticipated that issue coming up and was prepared for it. What I don't understand is how obama knew she had a copy of the transcript.
