I don't understand....

My wife grew up in what used to be called the German Democratic Republic. (DDR) She has first hand experience with the damage that Socialism does to a country and it's people. She tries to explain this to every Liberal she meets. Hell,History teaches us that a society will collapse under the weight of Socialist society.

Why the hell do we seem to sprinting headlong into Socialism? Simple economics would deem to suggest that this is a bad idea.

Help me understand.

The WHY is easy, too many public screwals, and especially colleges, teaching mush liberal farts crap to the kids......

anything from sigh-kology all the way down to 'art'.....

all that kind of crap is just hobby material, and the only thing one can DO with a degree like that is

GOVT' work....useless stupid under educated lazy work, where they engage in self promotion within the agencies and every secretary retires as a GS11 at minimum.......IF they kiss the right asses, they may retire as GS 14 and I dead serious....spent 53 years in the DC region.......the entire .gov work force from local screwals on up to White house appointees are loaded with self/group promoted jerks.....

my ex used to brag 'I can't believe they pay me so much for doing so little'....that is a direct quote from some 30 years ago, another friend used to brag that the only ones in the entire agency that knew he existed, was the payroll dept, THAT went on for about 20 years......

it's in the public education system.....ALL colleges getting so much as a tax break on the property they occupy need teach something worth learning....

HARD SCIENCE, Engineering, Business/related fields..mgmt, accounting, law, etc......

ALL else is hobby material.....

Consider that first time voters in the coming election were 10 yr old when Obama took office, then think about how your thinking was shaped during those years.

Why wouldn't they think socialism is great? They already are experiencing it. Medicare? Medicaid? Social Security? From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs. Gee, that sounds exactly like Medicare, Medicaid, AND SS.
