as i noted in another thread this week, according to the BMI calculator, i'm 'overweight', 6-5, 224lbs; BMI=26.56. but after seeing my doctor, he said i'm fine right where i am, no need to lose anymore weight.

i chart my weight and BP every day, i've been at 225 +/-2 for over a year now. steady!!

so the BMI is a guide, but know your body and talk with your doctor.

Great advice

So far I'm just going by my gut, and it tells me I'm still a fatty that could stand to lose another 20 lbs. I'll keep it going even when the competition is done, because I'm the cook at home. My GF is going to join in the second round (for those that need further motivation) so we're going to continue on the path to better health.

I'll give an update. Started July 10, 2014 @ 223. By Sept 1st was down to 193. Nothing but jogging and cutting calories, and monitoring my caloric intake and exercise with a fit bit. Back up to 201 now, but 20 year reunion in 2 months...time to get back on it Jogged 1.5 miles to the gym today, lifted, jogged back. Efficient in about an hour Can't argue with that.

Congrats everyone, keep it up!

Not that I need to lose weight, but as a result of just eating healthy I've dropped about 10-12 lbs as well and still drink beer.

I have lost some of my gut though

Interesting, I'd like to check them out.

I'm roughly following Paleo. I don't agree with some of it, and there is a Paleo 2.0 that's a little more reasonable on certain things (like potatoes).

I munch on rice cakes with peanut butter, celery and carrots with hummus, dried fruit, popcorn (stove popped, not in a bag).

Just some things aren't eaten much anymore.

Other then Dab this thread has been dead.

As for my Fitness workout goals progress update.

This fall in October I started at 185.5Lbs (6 feet tall). While I am no means 'fat' when compared to the general population I also have a goal of getting up on stage and compete in a NPC men's physique show.

Working with a bodybuilding dietitian I was able to get leaner and gain weight over the holidays. I topped out at 196lbs.

Last week I started my slow decent into calorie cutting thanks to a book written by John Meadows where I hope to get down to a lower body fat %. From there I'll have to add on more 'good' weight. End goal is around 200lbs and single digit body fat number for Memorial day weekend 2017.
