Don't get me wrong, I am not hating on people with ink. But if it is a "personal thing" then keep it somewhere under your clothing.

The Military is known for people with tattoos, but they manage to keep them under a uniform.

Tattoos on your face or neck are a sure fire way to insure that you never have any chance at employment anyplace other than a convenience store or garbage truck or some other minimum wage job.
Of course if you already have a skill of some kind, then there is always construction work and the oil field for higher wages. But people smart enough to master a skilled professional construction trade usually have enough sense to no get a tattoo on their face and neck.
Also facial tattoos are also targets for the popo, if you got a face tat, the popo assume you are a gang member as stated above.
