If you have a Wegmans nearby, get a celebration ham. They only come out at Christmas/New Years and Easter. Best you’ll ever have.

Spiral cut hams are too dry IMO.

Hey Mark!

I do have a Wegmans nearby but I'm going to disagree with you on this one. At least in the context of having it as a snack ham. these are for munching on as an hors d'oeuvre and to that end they are the bee's knees.

Dang, I need to start selling/shipping my products if I can get that kinda money.

This Saturday I am smoking six turkeys, two hams, three chubs of bologna, and four slabs of ribs.

My dad sends me a spiral sliced city ham and a smoked turkey every Christmas from Burgers Smokehouse, which is located in Jefferson City, MO where he lives. We made smoked turkey and bacon sandwiches last night as a matter of fact. I think the smoked turkey is best served cold. The city ham is excellent and you get a lot.

Having had both, I can say those are ok, they're good, but there's no comparison to the bone-in spiral sliced hams. Before I'd go there, I'd take Garf up on the Wegmans suggestion and pick up a ham there.

DixieVet, btdt, and there's something to be said about smoking and prepping your own. It's not an option for me any more, well, not realistically anyway. I choose these because they're excellent and convenient (though not particularly cheap). I bet if you charged for your time and care, you'd find yours would price right up with these, if not surpass.

You're still welcome to PM your address and I'll see if I can stop in when they're ready.
