Default Gourmet dinner!

Everyone in the house is at church but me obviously, and I had to fend for myself. I had 3 main courses with no dessert. First, a microwave turkey pot pie. Yuuuuuumy! Second, a bowl of Ravioli out of the can topped with cheese, and lastly, a bowl of refried beans out of the can topped with cheese. Choked it down with water. It didn't really seem like a good idea at the time, and now that it has been eaten, seems like a worse idea. Oh well.....

You may be having a sit down commode style sooner than later. Have plenty of TP, wipes, and deodorant aerosol on hand a la the poop scene in Dumb And Dumber...........

Oh, make sure the toilet flushes........

For dessert I would recommend a can of Hormel Chili. With beans.

Wife just left for a 1.5 week trip, leaving me and the 10mo old to fend for ourselves...what u had sounds like my planned Wednesday night meal, tonight it’s frozen lasagna and garlic bread, hopefully a few lunches off this too.

Since last month my wife has spent three days every other week driving up to Auburn, near Sacramento, to baby sit our great granddaughter. She leaves Monday afternoon and returns Thursday. She's having a great time doing it and so am I.

When they approached us about doing this, I reminded my grandson we only have one car now, so that would be a problem. He immediately said no problem we'll rent you one. The whole tab, with gas costs him about $200. Still cheaper than day care for a one year old. My grandson's MIL, a retired teacher alternates with my wife every other week. Can't do better than a retired teacher and a retired OB RN for baby sitters.

At least at ten months they are probably not walking yet. Our Great granddaughter is about 14 months and is tearing it up on two legs. Much harder to keep up with. The damn dogs (two pugs) are afraid of her.

Just wait till she dumps the key wind clock mechanism she runs on now, and fits up with a 18 volt battery like in a modern tool....then it's run all day, and fast charge overnight......better buy padded sox for your GOOD shoes!!!

Damn, I thought you were smarter than that James One of the courses would have been fine but combining all three.

You'll remember this life lesson

They go from walking to running very quickly. Robin Williams used to say it was like having a drunken midget careening around the house seeing what he can crash into next.

My grandson and his wife stagger their days off so they only need help three days a week. And for now, they have retired ancestors who are happy to help. Hell, their feelings would be hurt if they weren't asked.

Every now and then I'll make the trip with the wife and have some fun with it, too. They have dogs that ours get along with so we can even take them with us.

I will admit to a peanut butter and fig/orange spread sandwich on a bun for lunch today on the golf course. Was great actually. Also Tiger won the FedEx championship tournament but not the $10 million. In case you haven’t heard.
