Born 8 weeks early !

Yesterday he actually breast fed and today they put him in an open crib !!!
Baby steps......at 15 days old

Well he is 1 month and 3 days old now,still in the NICU....gaining weight,just over 6 lbs but he still has what they are calling Brady episodes where he stops breathing....they have removed the feeding tube and he is breast feeding and bottle feeding. He went 24 hours without an episode and they said if he goes 6 days without one he could come home....but last night he had one where they had to stim him to start breathing.....the doctor said they had given him a shot of caffeine to help but it must be wearing off so now they'll see how it goes without that because he can't keep getting it.
I was holding him last Sunday and he stopped breathing twice Wife,myself,son-in-law,daughter and sil's mom took infant CPR class .....very scary.

It sounds like he is getting the best of care. Hang in there, I'm sure he will make it.
