The SEC is dominant because of their athletes, and quality coaches.
USC can be a contender annually if they continue to get strong recruits.
ohio and michigan both get every 5-star and 4-star in their states, they have huge budgets, huger stadiums, they just never seem to have solid, consistent coaching, it took hairballs 8 years to put a decent team together, so he is not as good as some think.

Damn, it pains me to be realistic and exclude FSU from above conversation.

You piled on those three losses, all over 60 days ago, as my post did carefully state last 60 days.

We should have beat both Clemson and NCState, but we did not, as we sucked arse early on.

I am still proud of them, a huge improvement over last year, they are not ready to win any championships YET, but at least I can now watch a full game without throwing shit across the room.

I am humble, realistic, and thankful!!

NIL and transfer portal changes the game, to what or who is yet to be determined.

Great game so far. Lot of changes for the Gamecocks, but Rattler still playing great football.

24-24 in the 3rd quarter.

Would coulda shoulda. Every cfb team could say the same thing. You guys lost three games and barely beat a 6-7 OU team in a wgaf Bowl. You guys are ranked where you should be. And not the best team the last two month.

UCLA choked. The prevent defense has never worked in cfb or the Pro's yet head coaches do it constantly. How many bowls are left 55?

I'm pretty much done with bowl games except for the top 4. Between seeing .500 teams and the opting out, they're pretty meaningless.

USC defense ran out of gas. Lost a ton of players to opt-out, transfer, and injuries. They had no depth.

Despite the loss to Notre Dame I was pleased with the way the team played considering the circumstances. Hopefully Rattler returns - if he does, this team can absolutely improve again next year. O-Line has always killed us, as it did for most of the season until they miraculously started providing decent pass protection in the final 2 games of the season. We have one of the best O-Line recruiters in the country on staff, and just nabbed 3 4-star OL recruits. WR, RB, and defense have never been a problem for USC. It's always been mediocre to bad O-Line play. Hardest position to recruit - you need 5 of them on the field at a time, and there are only so many good ones.

Tennessee saved the SEC's bacon a little bit last night. But it's still a disastrous bowl season. Even if 'Bama beats K-State, UGA wins twice for the title, and LSU, Kentucky, and Mississippi State win their games, it's still the worst bowl season for the SEC in a long, long time.

PAC-12 hands down the big winner so far. UCLA blew it at the last second, but Oregon State manhandled Florida, Oregon got the thrilling last second win over UNC, and Washington beat Texas. 3 big wins against big time programs.

ACC has the most wins of the Power 5 so far (5) but no big wins. They've lost the 2 big time games that mattered so far (UNC to Oregon, Clemson to Tennessee).

B1G - wait and see. 3-0 so far in 3 minor games. Their big time match-ups start today with Michigan and Ohio State in the playoffs, and Penn State set to play PAC-12 champ Utah on Monday along with West division champ Purdue facing LSU.

Big XII - yikes. Texas Tech pushed around Ole Miss and that's it. Very real chance the Big XII goes 1-7 in bowl season with their final 2 teams to play, TCU and Kansas State, both underdogs to Michigan and Alabama today.

Every team lost players that opt-out, transferred, or were injured. ND didn't have their starting QB or top WR at the game and they still put up 45 points against you. NO EXCUSES.

TCU is doing a great job at proving they belong so far! Kansas State was manhandled by Bama which wasn’t a surprise. I would love to see TCU/OSU in the Championship game. Keep the SEC out all together lol.
