Default Crease and re-mist

Back in the 80's I'd hang in country bars and always wanted my jeans creased. I'd iron them and re-mist them and iron them and re-mist them until they were razor sharp.

Truth: I went to country bars
Lie: I enjoyed the music

Truth: The women were hot
Lie: I never met any

Truth: I ironed the shit out of my jeans
Lie: They were razor sharp

People still do that? Haven't ironed my jeans since I was 12.

When I was in Infantry Training School I’d see many of the black guys walking around with pressed jeans from the dry laundry. Considering what we brought home in pay, they were wasting all their beer money on laundry. Go figure.

I grew up wearing Tough Skins from Sears. No ironing necessary. Those thick ****ers would stand up on their own.

I remember one of the color correct guys I used back in the day actually had seams sewn in his jeans so it looked like creases !

I never knew that was a thing but in high school I was in gym class on Friday. It was a Catholic school but every once in a great while we are allowed to wear jeans to school.

We're getting change for gym class and one of the black guys started complaining about the size of the lockers because the way he had to put his jeans away and he didn't have an iron.

I remember looking right out of like it was yesterday and said who the **** irons their jeans?

Apparently black guys.

I think many blacks are just more fastidious about their appearance than whites. Which is cool with me.

I've been in a few country singles bars after midnight:

Most of my pants were corduroy back in the 60's. Figured as long as I had the iron out I might as well. Besides, due to being fascinated by anything electrical I could have ironed everything in the house without giving it a second thought

Been a few years, it was in the "Raaz" archives.

You're almost as popular as Yaddy -- he's in "High cotton."

I'd forgotten about those. We always shopped at Sears. For everything! Tough Skins were one of the few articles of clothing that could be donated after we outgrew them. The other stuff would be shredded. I seem to remember that they had a rubberized coating on the inside around the knee area?

I heard you lived in a van down by the river and cooked meth 14 hours a day and drank Bud Light.

I'm gonna one up ya brother. I had Tough Skins on steroids..better known as "Rough Housers". They were Tough Skins with built in patches in the knee because that was the first shit to blow out on those trampoline making mofos. You out grew those bitches before the knees over blew out...
