nah, that ain't it.

thermal inertia: that's when you get your side of the bed all nice and comfy, and then your cold footed wife invades your side and steals all your heat, and you on one hand want to smack her, but on the other hand don't, because then you'd have to sleep on the couch where it is cold, so you stay where you are, suffering in silence to stay somewhat warm, that's thermal inertia.
