He didn't say anything too different from his statement to the police, except for the distance from his truck...he was beyond 100ft at the time of the incident. (as far as I can tell). However if this story is phrased differently than the one to the police, it does give a lot of ammunition to make him out to be a liar.

true. and as to the coaching; He's on trial for murder, he absolutely should be coached on what to say and how to say it, for his own good. Doesn't mean you can't answer questions and be truthful, you just have to measure every word and how it could be used against you.

To re-state a statement he just made...to include the fact that he was volunteering with kids...is just a cry for public opinion, and bears no relevance to his story.

probably true, but he's in the same position as a politician. He needs to be likable and present the absolute best side of him possible, if he wants to try and resume a normal life after this is all over.

He and his wife will have to flee this country to have anything close to a normal life, and the damn communists are making damn sure he will never have a dime to get established with ANYWHERE.....

Rural Texas, yes.

But it also looks like they're going to prevent his wife from becoming a Nurse due to the federal charges she's facing. Out of country might be best for him to resume a real life.
