I find it funny when Conservatives do everything in their power to not help get blacks educated, but then act surprised when they vote for Democrats at a much higher rate than other groups.

property owners pay a large portion of their property taxes to the local school board for the purpose of public education.

most conservatives do not want to eliminate this system. what many conservatives want is to get the federal government out of the education business, where they have no place.

education, like many government programs, should be a state issue not a federal issue.
