His rantings do hold water, his superlatives, adjectives are sometimes a bit callous and inciteful. It is unusual that a person of his race puts it down in a way that a lot of folks, especially non-Blacks, agree with overwhelmingly.

Besides Bill Cosby once and a while going after what he considers lazy folks, there aren't many more that vocal.

I respect the guy for having his own opinions and attempting to think logically. Given his experience what he says is true to him. That's what matters, it doesn't matter if my experiences are different and his beliefs are untrue to me. It's easy to determine common ground with such a person and know where you stand with them. This is a safe situation upon which to base a relationship. You won't be stabbed in the back.

What I won't respect is someone who lets others form their beliefs. You don't know where you stand with such a person. Their opinion could change tomorrow without reason or warning. They're spineless, trying to figure out where you stand with them is like picking up a jellyfish, they'll slip through your fingers and you will get stung.
