40 years is a microscopic view of climate history. Has it changed since the 70s? Sure.

We have ~100 years of reliable data on weather ("reliable" may be the wrong word). Still a microscopic view of history. Prior to that, we have estimates derived from observations of historical artifacts, and empirical models.

Unless your pressure cooker looks like this-it's not a canning pressure cooker.

The only thing about this climate change crap that MAY be true over the last few thousand years is the article that appeared on the .net somewhere, supposedly reviewing really ancient Viking logs/writings of their adventures....

Including of course ventures over to the ease coast of North America....landing and getting killed/driven off by the local native population .....had to have been a pretty heavy population count to out fight the Vikings.....

AND the notes/logs speaking of constant smoke out over the Atlantic ocean, so much that it shaded out sunlight....and that they could smell the smoke out in the middle of the ocean....conclusion was there was SO MANY CAMPFIRES in America that the combined smoke caused weather/climate? changes in Europe....

then a few centuries later they theorize that the Native Americans died out....a plague got to the dense population centers, and so the camp fired died out with them....clearing the smoke and allowing some climate change to take place in Europe....so by time the later European explorers hit the NA coast the Native population really didn't care or have the forces enough to fight them off.....easier to do business with them instead.....

The article was a interesting read....hell of a lot longer than my little synopsis above....

The front line of what?

How exactly is this guy's 40 years of observation different than any other person who has been around for 40 years anywhere on the planet? Are you making the argument that this "man made" thing only changes the climate out in the woods?

I noticed that we've had a pretty cold winter this year. It reminds me of the winter we had in 1977. Pretty much exactly.

It's been pretty warm at times here with temps pushing 90 degrees the last month. I suppose that makes up for some of the winters spent in Utah where the temps were damn cold to fukk you cold. "Climate change is real now pay me you people that need to be led around."

And since we know the winter of '77 ended, that gives us hope that this winter will end.
