I'm not going to defend the Bush admin. as a good administration. IT WASN'T. But it was certainly better than the current one, although that's not exactly saying much.


But this ridiculous myth that Bush was responsible for this recession is a joke. He wasn't. He WAS responsible for his idiotic response to it, buying Paulson's bull-****, and the first wave of stimulus or "Tarp"


He helped pave the way for a new, dumber POTUS to take his policies to the extreme, with more and more bailouts, handouts, and deficit spending.


Obama is completely in over his head, and is turning out to be one of the most reckless and destructive President's in history. The numbers don't lie.

If you chose not to hold Bush responsible for the recession, you can not then chose to hold Obama responsible for the slow recovery.

I had been ignoring talks of "double dip"


It's getting harder to do so.


Looking back at the 2000 recession, the 1990 recession, and the 1980 recession, which was characterized by HIGHER peak unemployment and HIGHER peak GDP loss and MORE quarters of GDP loss than the 2008 recession, NONE of those recessions, once they hit the peak monthly unemployment rate and then began the decline, had a 3 months-in-a-row stretch of increases. Typically only a ONE month increase, followed by either an immediate drop the next month or stabilizing at that rate and dropping after another month.


I DO NOT like what I am seeing in terms of unemployment. I pray it's not a sign of things to come and the drop will resume shortly.
