Consumer Cellular uses the ATT towers and is much cheaper.

This is killing me! We are seriously over paying. And have for some time.

Hmm. Thx. The other issue that doesn’t add up is two part.

1. It would be statistically impossible to have the exact same data usage across multiple phones and months
2. The sheer amount of data they claim we are using. Sometimes as high as 12g a month. We are almost ALWAYS on WiFi. We use our phones to make calls, text and very occasionally emails. Wife uses hers for Facebook but always on WiFi (we work from home). We have navigation in our vehicles.

Kid listens to Spotify and Nav. How can it even be possible for him to use 5-8gigs a month? He doesn’t play games in the phone, is not on social media, he does watch YouTube videos but he works two jobs. One is in a cavern 2 miles under ground and the other doesn’t allow any cell phone use. He has solid WiFi at his apartment. He literally doesn’t go anywhere but work and home (whole other issue!)

It simply does not add up. If we add the thousands of other people saying the same thing plus the class action Verizon lost for their data charging scheme, quack, quack, quack. It’s a duck.

I'm getting hosed. I've got 3 lines on T-Mobile and I'm paying $210 a month. Only 1 phone is on contract.

I’m digging BoostMobile but huge BLM statement on web site and it looks like I have to purchase the phones outright. I’d have to drop about $1,500-$2000 up front. My son will need a phone too. I don’t want to see him spending $500 on a phone.

T-Mobile's network is dogshit. For someone who travels a bunch, you should know this. For as much as I have traveled in the past, I've had AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon. Verizon is far superior. AT&T is OK, and T-Mobile is absolute shit.

But, if you don't travel, and one of those carriers has reasonable coverage in your area, then by all means, go for it.

Don't do Boost man... Since Dish owns them now they suck big time, slow speeds, 32gb max on any plan then 2g. I was on Virgin Mobile and had unlimited HS data(i used 100gb a month easy) and was super fast. Earlier this year after Boost/Virgin taken over they slowed speeds down to a crawl and we were put on 2nd tier(they use sprint towers) so Sprint customers got high speed and we got dick(was the same all over and happened at the same time). We thought it was kung flu and huge amounts of people on network, seems we were wrong.
In July i believe they switched everyone to 32 max period then 2g. Speeds increased back to where they used to be or thereabouts. I use 32 gb in about 10 days unless careful (like don't watch movies online) as we use cell for tethering. The plan was 60 a month and was a great deal until the takeover.
You're better off going TMobile as far as data plans and costs as far as I could tell but really depends on overage where you live.

I have been on TMobile for three years now and have not had any issues with coverage. During that time I have travelled between NE Florida (home) and California and points in between without issues. I’m sure there must be some areas they are lacking but I have not run into any.

Boost is/was Sprint's prepaid label.

Every network has pockets of no coverage. Where we live, T-Mobile is the only provider that has service. Verizon and AT&T have both ripped me off, so I will never, evar, use either one ever again.
