I'm a HUGE fan of this band. If you like 70's rock and production check them out.

Both last night's tune and this one brought back memories from being a young teenager.

My friend Tony and I were the same age. His older brother just finished his military time and brought back a kick ass stereo system from Japan. ( about 1974 )

His bedroom was in the basement in the room that was originally the bomb shelter . Great tunes were cranked up loud and clear.

Tony Iommi chopped the tips of two fingers off his fretting hand when he was 17 years old. He fashioned up prosthetics and the legend was born.

And today we have “I can’t play my hands are too small.”

Yes....Dio was awesome in his own right. Still, I would prefer Ozzy Sabbath, but hey, a Dio show would have kicked ass too.

The wife and I were at this show in Dallas. Pretty cool to hear the entire crowd singing along.

The guitar is the Les Paul Custom I purchased from Sea Six. The amp is a Fender Mustang IV modeling amp. A little reverb and delay.

These modeling amps have come a long way, but nothing quite gets you the sound of a tube amp. My Friedman is incredible but it sounds horrible recorded with my phone. Actually it all sounds horrible recorded with a damn phone. The Fender just a little less so. Probably because you really don’t need to get the power amp section cooking on the Fender.

Sounds like it’s modeling a Boogie with the gain on 11. Like a duel rectifier type. Heavy!
