Default (R-Indiana) Rep. Mike Pence out as 2012 POTUS prospect

*Breaking*

Pence Decides Against 2012 Run.

Pence Decides Against 2012 Run - Washington Wire - WSJ

Indiana Rep. Mike Pence decided against a 2012 run for the White House, disappointing social conservatives who had encouraged him to seek the Republican nomination but leaving open a likely bid for the Indiana governor’s office.

Mr. Pence’s staunch stance against abortion and gay marriage and his votes against a number of big-ticket government programs, even during the Bush administration, made him a favorite of many social conservatives, some of whom launched a “draft Pence” campaign earlier this month.

But in a letter to supporters, Mr. Pence said that after long consideration, he and his wife had decided against a run for the White House. “My heart is in Indiana,” he said.

The 51-year-old lawmaker and former radio host said he would decide “later this year” what to do next, but it is all but certain that he will run for governor. The current governor, Republican Mitch Daniels, cannot run for re-election under Indiana’s election laws.

In an interview Thursday, Mr. Daniels said he could not remember a time in the state’s history when the door was so wide open for a candidate like Mr. Pence.

The current Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman has decided against running, while the state’s most powerful Democrat, former Sen. Evan Bayh, has also ruled it out.

Indiana’s Democrats suffered sharp losses in November, and no Democrat in Indiana now holds statewide office.

Mike Pence headed up the (R) *Better Solutions* that morphed to *Pledge to America* to *Contract on America* to now Paul Ryans' *Roadmap for Americas Future* ... all smoke and mirrors ...

So basically what I am reading is the GOP plan is to continue deficit spending, and to continue running up the National Debt.

Brilliant!

You can start with allowing oil drilling again, especially offshore. Those are all pretty good paying jobs, and oil drilling creates jobs for all kinds of other support companies that sell their wares or services to the oil drillers.

You could also start by approving the nuclear plants now being proposed.]

You could also start by approving new coal mining.

See where this is going?

Energy costs hurt our economy. Remember what $ 4.00/gallon gasoline did? $ 5.00/gallon diesel?

So, green lighting private industry that is willing to employ people to provide more energy seems like a win-win to me. How about you?

I won't have the power to do that until you help me elect a Libertarian president who has the best interest of the country AND the taxpayers at heart.

Won't you help? It isn't like I am asking you to vote Republican.....c'mon, you can do this.
