That was my first thought, too.

I had my daughter at 17, finished high school and busted my ass in college, while working full time so I could have health insurance. I scraped by and budgeted - took my lumps early in life - to reap the rewards later. I did not recieve any government assitance because I lived within my means, which was meager at the time. It's called taking responsibility and having a plan to better oneself.

I refuse to feel sorry for anyone that makes excuses for not getting an education...and also won't stop having babies when they know they can't afford the ones they already have.

Want a better job? Get educated or learn a skill. Make yourself worth a better wage.

The company I work for made over 8 billion in 2011, and again in 2012. I couldn't honestly feel right accepting a 50k plus bonus for my current position. There are far more people in this company that work harder than I do, that wold deserve that type of bonus due to their specific roles. Now a 4-5k bonus would be quite nice for me
