Red face TIP/Tricks - HOW NOT TO
How not to try to sell a Corvette:

Head Line News just did a quick story about a guy that is in trouble for posting a U Tube video showing him trying to prove his Corvette could go 200 MPH in order to sell it. Took place in OK, showing him speeding down the highway passing traffic at a high rate of speed. He was arrested pending charges for reckless driving and others.

That's been the #1 duped thread at CF the past couple days.

I was thinking of posting it here to see how the reactions might differ, but the kid deleted his Youtube vids yesterday.

This one is obviously not the original, but it's mostly there.

Oh correction - 2 charges of reckless driving is what the news is saying.

Yeah, when they determined his identity, the cops knocked on his door and off to jail he went.

While videoing and sharing such activity with the world may not be such a bright move, I still believe a decent lawyer could get the charges dropped.

There have been other cases like this, with few resulting in convictions.

Some may say he's a dumbass, but if he had been more selective and only shared it with interested perspective buyers it would have been a good selling tool!

Yeah that's what happens when someone doesn't have enough brains. Car did sound good though.

I didn't see any shots of the Speedo so how do they prove the speed? I can say a lot on video and it not be true....

That's not to say he wasn't rollin'......

If you can see the mile markers on the side of the road and use the time off the video, easy to calculate miles per hour.
