I actually can explain the thought process as can anyone else that has spent time in the Middle East. They don't see any Infidel as an innocent. Man, Woman, Child, Soldier or not, it does not matter.

If it is in fact a Muslim terrorist attack why would you think that we will change the way have have done things for the last 30+ years?

We have never done the correct thing to end Islamic terrorism and I strongly doubt we ever will.

If this turns out to be an incident of foreign terrorism, i.e., Al Qaeda based in Saudi Arabia, then I would wish the State Department demand (not request) the immediate apprehension and turn over of the leadership of the terrorist organization within a reasonable (48-hours) period. Further, I would also wish that affected country be notified that failure to hand over the malefactors for trial would be considered as grounds for immediate cessation of diplomatic and other ties and that all assets would be frozen pending trials against the terrorists - similar to what we did with Libya for the Lockerbie bombing.

During CNN’s breaking news coverage of the Boston Marathon explosion on Monday afternoon, “The Situation Room” anchor Wolf Blitzer asked if there could be a tie between the Massachusetts’ state holiday known as Patriots Day and the blast.

“One intriguing notion, one intriguing thought here, and I’m curious, Mike, and I’ll ask Matt to weigh in as well,” Blitzer said. “It is a state holiday, in addition to the Boston Marathon. It is a state holiday in Massachusetts today called Patriots Day, and who knows if that has anything at all to deal — to do with these, these twin explosions.”

Patriots Day is a holiday meant to commemorate the anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord, the first battles of the Revolutionary War. Blitzer continued to inquire to about that possibility, asking if there might have been an event to mark the anniversary.

“As part of Boston’s — Massachusetts, I should say — Patriots Day, did you notice earlier in the day, Matt, any special Patriots Day events going on, anything pointing to a special day in Massachusetts?”

All I wish is that if we ever invade another country in the Middle East, who ever is president should stand in front of the world and say "Yes, we are here for the oil. Any body got a problem with that?"

To think that we were probably walking all around the bombs is a little unsettling.

The eerie this was I was at the finish line this morning at 9 am and saw 2 black government SUVs. I said to my wife I hope there is no terrorist attack. Just crazy . We were walking back to pru from Red Sox game when this all went down.
