With that big winter storm coming thru they predicted 4-8 inches of snow for today. What did we get it started out with a little sleet last night about 11 we had a few big flakes this morning nor nothing but rain. My daughter lives across the mountain in Virginia about a half hour from here has about 3 inches of snow

30* here and sunny. No wind, very nice day! Now, my daughter in Durham NC says she got 4" of snow and then it's turning to rain. That's like apocalyptic down there!

They have gotten a pretty good blanket of snow in SW Va. I grew up in Pulaski county, and they have a bunch, and I would guess about 6 or 8 inches judging by the pictures from my cousin's house in Galax. Edit: I take that back. She says 11" so far. Here is a pic.

I have a buddy from northern Minnesota, Finnish descent, that dude feels nothing. You just get used to it I guess.

When we lived in PA we had a neighbor gal that would joke about it being time to break out her winter flip flops. They had about a two inch sole and I swear she would wear them in all kinds of weather.

Well...I guess I get to enjoy the warm weather after all. After 11 hours in the airport, and no guarantee that the plane will even fly, I called United and cancelled the flight and got a refund. Will work from home this week.
