Slow the video to the max setting and watch the thumb roll that both joins and separates the "rope".
This is obviously not your run of the mill rope. Very cool trick though  Scott

There are lots of youtube vids that show how tricks are done. I've watched a few and for the most part they are very simple. Kinda felt like discovering Dad was Santa.

I can't explain it but it has a lot to do with him going to his coat pocket for the scissors. I bet there's a lot of rope in that pocket.
I watched it again. That pocket is bulging. There's definitely more in there than scissors. |
