Myth busters had a metal framework they JB Weld together and another they welded. They threw both off a building. The welded did OK no damage BUT the JB Weld fell apart.
That said , I had an iron rail with a rotted base. I stuck the base in a 1" pipe flange and used JB Weld to fill the void. Still OK after 15 years. The mentioned rail does have a side bracket that helps reduce stress/strain. |

Guy in our shop repaired a cylinder head for a Mitsubishi with JB Weld. We all laughed. Filled a crack. Ground it out, followed the directions.
Been a year. Still running. |

My C4 had some stripped threads in the dashboard panels. I filled the threaded plastic
posts with JB and coated the screws with paste wax and screwed them in. After it set, I unscrewed the screws and the dashboard panels went together nice and tight! I've had them off a few times after that but they always firm up when tightened! Great stuff! |

Years back we had to get a vital water pump running in a NY state office building.
Pump was old and no spare parts available. To get a new one and pipe it in would take days. We put JB weld on the cracked head, then I ground it down very carefully. To my amazement it worked fine, no leaks. It was still there and running a few years later when I was there to do another job. JB great stuff! |
