Default Ya know, I kinda hate to admit it...

...but I am liking the IROC.
Had a new windshield installed Thursday. Getting a headliner Monday.
Spent the last day doing some debugging and cleaning. Couple of lights out (still got to get foglamps working), power locks sticking, lock cylinders hard to turn, needs a tps, a little of this and that. Happens when a car isn't driven much.
I've put a couple hundred miles on it already. We took it out riding around tonight with Boston cranked up. Had to have the eighties music rockin'. Did my first burnout in it tonight!
It's not a car I think I will keep very long but I will enjoy it for a little while. Rather have white or silver instead of the black finish. For that matter I like the previous generation body style better.
Or maybe another Vette in my future.

Man, you got that shining pretty good. It's amazing how a good cleaning/waxing makes a car stand out.

Good looking car. Always did like the looks of the 80's Camaros and Firebirds. Had a 89 Trans Am GTA.

Absolutely!
In spite of the mullet jokes and gaffs that resulted, I always remember how badass they looked to me when they came out.

Back in '91 my boss had a blue one that I used to open the back door just to look at, on my lunch breaks.

I loved Boston back in the day, too. I have the first 4 albums. Wore out some cassette tape copies of the first two. But hey, who knew there was a 5th Album? I didn't.

Boston - Corporate America (Full Album 2002) - YouTube
If I recall correctly the band was ready to give up the grind and return to a quiet existence, but they had indeed "signed the record company contract" and the company had great expectations for the 5th album in said contract. Corporate America is that less than stellar result. But it did allow the guys to "retire".

Ironic you are talking about Boston as tomorrow is the day Brad Delp committed suicide back in 2007.

Was lucky to see them in concert in the mid eighties. They sold out the Centrum for nine shows,it was wicked awesome.

Was never a fan of the 3rd or 4th Gen Camaros, however, I did like the styling of the IROCs.

Enjoy your ride while you still have it!

This is my fifteenth Camaro but first IROC. Five or six Firebirds, too. In spite of owning a few Vettes the Camaro has always been my favorite car.

There are actually six. The last Life, Love & Hope released in 2013. I have them all and the Greatest Hits disc also. Don't Look Back and the first one are my faves.

Could have sold it three times in the last week. My brother actually made me an offer when we went to pick it up. I backed it out of the guy's garage and my brother walked around it twice and said, "Six grand. Or I'll trade you my '08 Miata Grand Touring." I passed on both.
Took it to get the new windshield Friday. Guy a the glass shop told me to call him first when I decided to sell it. I laughed and he said, "No. Seriously. Always wanted one of these."
My neighbor came over Friday and offered to buy it. Kept saying, "Just gimme a price, man. You know you're gonna sell it. You sell them all."
I'll drive it a few months before I let it go down the road.

My '18 is my first Camaro. Back in the day, I almost pulled the trigger on a brand new '81 Z28.
