My doctor says to reduce my stress level

It is hitting me hard in the immune system and caused my hospitalization two weeks ago. Apparently too much acid in my stomach which caused my disease to go nuts.

I am so stressed out I can't sleep. I guess that's the price for living large and doing shit nobody else has done.

There must be something wrong with me. I should just get a .gov job.

Having worked 22 years as a law enforcement officer for DOJ I can tell you that if you have any self respect and any pride your stomach acid situation won't get any better working for Uncle Sam. In fact it will become more prevalent.

As a .gov employee- if you get stressed because of incompetence, impatience, red tape, unions,etc... Yea, you wouldn't make it here. This is why I play volleyball every day. Every day the ball gets a new face when I hit it.

First off, I'm glad to hear you did not have to have Surgery!!!

I hope they are able to get the acid under control and your stress level goes down.

There is nothing wrong with you. Your just driven and motivated to provide for your family doing something worthy in educating the youth of this country and abroad! I applaud you.

Thanks. I was actually glad to find out it wasn't what they thought it was. But I knew I'd have to do all the tests. I can almost eat normally again.

Lost about 8 pounds though.

I am doing it to myself, I know. I knew it would be a challenge/nightmare.

But at the end of the day, I looked the chief Of the tribe in the eyes and said I'd be back with the docs. I intend to keep that promise.

Maybe somebody has done it but I wonder.

Putting together young middle school kids, Spec Ops, surgeons on 14 day expedition which will be filmed (with pro crew) made into lesson programs and culminate in setting up an operating room in the jungle. Securing sponsorships from major corporations and pulling together dozens of national partners and securing national level press. Working with the state department and the tribe too.

I'm sure TV networks and production companies have done expeditions, but I've managed all of this starting with zero funding and with me doing 90% of it alone until recently.

I also created the program itself, single handedly doing all film work, editing, research, writing, music, web dev, brand dev, still photos, print design and sales.

Please, for the love of god if you know someone who has done this, introduce me. I could use the help.

Keep in mind, I don't want to do all this myself. Working on raising money via sponsorship and private equity investment. It is just the only way to get it done.

One reason I'm so motivated is that I want out of the consulting biz. I want to do something that has lasting value for my family.

But I knew the transition would be tough.

No complaints. My choice. But it is stressful. However I am indestructible.

Didn't mean to sound like I'm bragging. It is what it is.

My health is fine so far. I just have ups and downs. I always get through it.
