Don Hume makes a really good product. My only worry is that reholstering will be tough, as the top would collapse from the tightness of the belt. It is a pita to reholster behind the back, no matter what, but that's how I roll though, so we'll see.....
And ya, for the price, it won't be as painful if I have to drawer it.

I can reholster the 27 in the Don Hume one handed on a side carry which probably puts more tension on the holster opening that carry in the back would. It does take some effort, though ... not a quick smooth motion. My Hume has what I think is a metal spring sewn into the opening - not as strong by a good bit as the one in my Milt Sparks, but adequate.

Reholstering a revolver may take a bit more finesse though, especially behind the back.

Wish the most expensive holster in my unused drawer cost only $27. You did good.

No...no you're not. I won't wear one with a belt clip anymore for that reason.

AND I have observed the same situation with other people at the range.

This has happened to me in practice, however it was because the clip was not on my belt right. After a lot of trial and error, placing the holster in different places on my back, I have found the sweet spot where it is totally comfortable, and stays put all the time. The draw is perfect, and I can now reholster on one try. Once I found the sweet spot, and practiced, it just became natural muscle memory. The clip stays on the belt now, where before it sometimes didn't. Placement, and proper clip application to your belt, are key to a holster that not only stays put, but that you are able to reholster easily.
It took a bit of time to get it right, but I'm very comfortable with this right now..

If you're happy I'm happy for you.

As an aside remember that when the fecal material hits the rotating cooling device nothing is going to go perfectly. Possibly even your positioning of the holster clip that you have defeated in the past. I wish you only good fortune.
