Apparently tingling in your left arm, same arm going numb, and even minor chest pains is a big deal.. Who ****ing knew?

Doc (cardiologist) told me no more heavy drinking and smoking and I will be in his office next week. He's also a close family friend.

I told him I like drinking and smoking, but I'll give them up. If I'm not allowed to **** he can throw me in the old home, turn on Matlock reruns, and don't resuscitate.

Oh, and i'm surprised the firewall here at work let me get here to the barn.

Well, here's an update. I have really cut back on everything. I don't play in the band any longer and have no incentive to be in the bars/clubs, but i do sound set up for other bands and that lasts maybe an hour per band. No biggie.

I have a sleep study scheduled with a civilian doctor instead of an incompetent VA doc trained to deny everything, a neurology consult with civilian docs for the same reason, and other docs for my knees and back issues. 41 years old and I'm falling apart

Doc says I show every sign of sleep apnea and wonderred why the VA records show the same things but they claim it's not present. Kinda hard to fake that, huh? He's also saying it's not helping my heart issues and definitely the headaches that black me out and cause me to miss a few days of work per month.

so....single payer health care anyone? universal healthcare anyone? Government run everything? Who's down for some incompetence?

I quit smoking last June, haven't touched one since. I still drink a couple of beers after work, but just a couple. I don't usually drink on the weekends. The worst thing about the quiting smoking is that I've gained about 25 pounds. I find that more irritating than anything. If you quit smoking watch the weight.
