Story Musgrave was another astronaut that went on record with this belief. Kinda hard to disprove, but definitely could drive a budget grab.

The best treatment I ever saw on this was from Carl Sagan (when PBS was actually pretty neutral) when he described the Drake equation for the Milky Way.

The way I look at it I don't think God put the universe out just for us to look at. There very well is life out there and may even be life as we know it.

I believe there is considering if you look at ancient history, there are several images that were created before man even thought about flying.

There's almost certainly some kind of "life" out there, but is it anything like us? Would we even recognize it as "life?"

If aliens visited the earth long ago, why did they stop?
