I worked at a grocery store from 68 to 75. I remember 8 packs of beer for 1.89.

I don’t remember the price but I do remember it was really cheap

Not that cheap, but I remember buying a Six Pack of Milwaukee's Beast and a pack of Marlboro for about $3.50. $1.99 for the beer, $1.15 for the smokes. Early-Mid 90's.

I quit smoking in 1982, cigs were about .65 a pack ( $5 a carton )

I remember going in to Grandview Speedway Tavern outside of Harleysville, PA to buy six packs. $2 for six packs and they tried to GIVE you a six pack of Billy Beer with each six ( PA laws only allowed you to carry out two sizes at a time so if you bought two sixes and got two freebies, it was two trips )

Even at free, the Billy Beer wasn't worth it
