An Arizona Highway Patrolman...

pulls over a motorist for exceeding the posted speed limit. He approaches the car that was speeding and asks the driver's name.

"My name is Fred," said the driver.

"What's your last name?", asked the Patrolman.

"Just Fred, "he says. "I have no last name."

Being in a good mood, the Patrolman decides to just give the man a warning...even though the man does seem a little "off". "You don't have a last name? How's that?", he asked.

"I'll tell you," replies the man, "But pay attention because it's a long story. You see, I worked hard in school and made good grades. I always wanted to be a doctor, so I went to Medical School. I did an Internship, a Residency, passed the exam and became a doctor. Then I was Fred Johnson, MD."

"After several years, I got bored with being a doctor, so I went to Dental School. It only took a few years since I was already an MD, and I graduated and became Fred Johnson, MD, DDS."

"I got bored with that, and I started having an affair with my nurse. She gave me a venereal disease, so I was then Fred Johnson, MD, DDS, and VD."

"Word got out about the affair, and the Dentists' Board revoked my license, so then I was Fred Johnson, MD, VD."

"The AMA followed suit and revoked my license, so then I was Fred Johnson, VD." The VD eventually took my Johnson, so now I'm just...Fred."

The Patrolman was laughing so hard he almost fell over on the walk back to his car.
