Criminals aren't very intelligent. A lot of them act on compulsion. They get an idea in their head that consumes them and won't go away. They hope acting on the thought will cause it to end.

I'd be willing to bet most of them don't even know the state is training people when it is OK to shoot through a door in the classes required to get a permit. Well, not sure about Texas but they do here

Dude shot 13 times and hit no one, luckily no one was in the apartment directly across from him. Having said that, maybe penetrating the steel door took most of the velocity out of those rounds and maybe the Hardi Plank or Wood frame of the opposing apartment was able to stop those rounds.

The armed robbers also shot twice, missing the victim.

All in all, scary stuff, the apartment was chosen at random, according to the victim. I'm assuming that the first robber posing as maintenance didn't know the people in the apartment, knowing they wouldn't recognize him.

What you have to understand is that the people flooding across our southern border right now are extremely unintelligent. Look up the average IQs for the countries in Central America and they are very low. Most of them have IQs between 65 and 70. Just slightly higher than your average Biden voter. They really aren't much higher up the food chain than animals. They act on impulse and studies have shown a direct correlation between low IQs and violent tendencies. They are basically feral animals - treat them as such.

I can attest that wasn't the case years ago, one of my first apartments the maintenance techs would replace filters and even smoke alarm batteries on a regular basis, nowadays ? Who knows ?

My stepdad was a public defender in Hawaii and basically had the same experience with the locals, and especially those from the islands, like Truck. Low basic IQ's (as in most people based off of the equator), very impulsive, and no thought given to the aftermath. So, a shit-load of stabbings between family members, drugs, etc. Just low-functioning, violent shit. Like feral dogs fighting. Jungle Law. And when you look the other way because 'racism', you have PROBLEMS.
