Should the meters have a warning, sure, but the way they frame it all now.

There are plenty of medical readings/devices which are specific for certain races but its due to biology not bias.

Ya as someone trained more in Lab than in Respiratory, I don't much like pulse-ox as a reliable measurement. Can sometimes put one of these on a door knob and get a reading.

Oxygen saturation may also be measured by puncturing a vessel and performing a chemical reaction and measurement. This would be 'ABGs" or arterial blood gases. More invasive, difficult, time consuming, and costly to do. Falls under federal law as a regulated laboratory test.

Or one can just use a pulse-ox device to get a quicky estimate. This is by federal law considered a "monitor," not a laboratory test. Upside: quick, cheap, easy. Downside: less reliable than ABGs.

Given the above, why have a cow about minor bias between races? It should already be well understood that any monitors are less accurate and less precise than actual ABGs. Much ado about nothing, as usual.

Well its obvious you do not read it right.

They took something that is important, that the meters read differently in people of color, and wrapped it in some racial bias bullshit.

There are mandates/regulations attached to every procedure they do. The least of it involves mandated unnece$$ary testing, much it involves disallowed treatments, and some even requires them to act as government agents by reporting you to the authorities.
